Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At Short Law Office, we are committed to providing high-quality legal services tailored to our clients’ needs. Before beginning representation, we clearly outline the scope of services, anticipated costs, and fee structures in our engagement agreement.

Please note the following regarding payments and refunds:

1. Non-Refundable Fees

   • All retainers, consultation fees, flat fees, and payments made to the firm are non-refundable.

   • Payment of fees secures the availability of our attorneys, paralegals, and staff, and compensates the firm for time spent, work performed, and resources committed to your matter.

2. Advance Payments / Retainers

   • In matters where an advance payment or retainer is required, those funds will be applied to earned fees and costs as outlined in the engagement agreement.

   • Once earned or applied, those amounts are not refundable.

3. No Guarantees

   • Legal outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Payment of fees is for professional services rendered and resources expended, not for a particular result.

4. Termination of Representation

   • If representation is terminated by either party, you remain responsible for all fees incurred and costs advanced up to the date of termination, consistent with the terms of the engagement agreement.

By engaging our firm and submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to this No Refund Policy.
